 An Organizational Management Company
Organization Management

Organization and Association Management -

Organizational, as well as Association management, is tricky business.  The goal here is to create an organization that is best for all of it's members, but at the same time being fiducially stable to fulfill the organizations mission.

This is best done taking the same analytical business engineering approach with a small twist.  Most people see associations as having altruistic goals.  This is very noble, but at the end of the day, the association has to be financial solvent in order to advance the industry in which they represent, keep an affordable dues structure for its members, and most importantly, operate with the mission as the goal and not solvency as it's achille.

With the business engineering approach, we now infuse the entrepenurial spirit of a for-profit business plan into the organization and create partnerships that derive non-dues income which is vital for the members mission to be accomplished.

We have been successful in developing business plans that have many different, and sometimes seemingly, non related cogs and put them together to create programs that end in a win-win situation.  Associations that are for their members, with the stability necessary for future growth.

Travel Alliance Partners, LLC (TAP) is a for profit company that acts a lot like an association.  In fact this hybrid approach has cause a very steep learning curve that has proven very successful.

In the tourism industry, there are many trade groups that represent different constituencies.  And rightfully so.  The travel industry is becoming as segmented and specialized as many of the medical fields today.  There are different challenges in each area and each needs to be focused on differently.

TAP came to us with a unique opportunity to create a structure that has never been attempted in the tourism industry.  They wanted to find more customers and spend less money doing it.   They needed to find a way to lower overhead, while keeping the same productivity.   This sounds like the mission of most associations.

The James J. Palmeri Company took the board of director's strategic plan and created a business plan that has become a model unseen in the industry.

The industry has been trying to define this arrangement.  Some have called it a Consortium, others call it a cooperative.  But the best explanation has been that TAP has created the first "code-sharing" arrangement between tour operators.  This is something that the James J. Palmeri Company is very proud to have developed through it's engineering process.

GroupConnect.com, a for profit subsidiary of the American Bus Association (ABA) and the Ontario Motor Coach Association (OMCA) has hired the James J. Palmeri Company to work in the role of Managing Director for their very exciting start up organization.

GroupConnect's goal is to provide an online travel tool that will expedite lead generation, consolidate staff research efforts during itinerary development, increase low-cost business-to-business exposure and aid in regional tourism tracking. It will also lead to increased partnership and collaboration within the industry through the creative packaging of tour products, sales of distressed equipment, up-selling under booked tours, and utilizing tiered pricing arrangements.
